Bağlaçlar - Conjunctions

Birleşme anlamına gelen

"junction" kelimesinden gelen baçlarlar 7 kelime grubundan bir tanesini oluştururlar. Bağlaçları kelimeleri, kelime gruplarını ve cümlecikleri ve cümleleri birbirine bağlamak için kullanırız.

You are successful and clever. (Başarılı ve zekisin.)

He was a good father and a sensitive husband. (İyi bir baba ve duyarlı bir eşti.)

If you see her, please explain this. (Onu görürsen lütfen bunu açıkla.)

I completed the report and then sent it. (Raporu tamamladım ve sonra gönderdim.)

Bağlaç Çeşitleri:

Bağlaçlar temel olarak üç gruba ayrılır: Eşgüdüm Bağlaçlar (Coordinators), Yan cümle Bağlaçları (Subordinators), Cümleleri bağlayan Bağlaçlar (Sentence Connectors)

Eşgüdüm Bağlaçlar - Coordinators: İki bağımsız cümleyi tek bir cümlede birleştirmek için kullanılırlar. Bu bağlaçlardan önce virgül kullanılabilir.

"AND" : ve

The teacher is explaining, and the students are listening. (Öğretmen açıklıyor ve öğrenciler dinliyor.)

Yesterday I saw you and Hakan walking in the park.

He was running so fast and he slipped down and crashed his head to a wall.

"BUT:" ama

You needn't write each detail, but you should write the important ones. (Her bir detayı yazman gerekmez ama önemli olanları yazmalısın.)

I tried to get inside but the security man saw me so I had no choice but running away.

I don't want to go with them but my parents will offend if I don't.
