Sayılamayan isimlerin çoğu farklı parçalardan oluşan bir "bütün" ü kasteder

I bought a coffee table and a couch. In other words I bought some furniture. (Bir kanepe ve bir kahve masası aldım. Diğer bir deyişle mobilya aldım.)

"Furniture" Benzer ama ayrı ayrı parçalardan oluşan bütün bir grubu ifade eder.

I put some sugar in my coffee. (Kahveme şeker koydum.)

"sugar" ve "coffee" birbirinden ayrı parçacıklardan ve öğelerden oluşurlar.

Miktar bildirmek için bazı sayılamayan isimlerden önce miktar bildiren ifadeler kullanılır.

Uncountable:

Anıl'ın saçları kırmızı. (Anıl has red hair.)

Countable:

Tolga'nın ceketinde bir saç teli var. (Tolga has a hair on his jacket.)

Uncountable:

Biraz ışık girsin diye perdeleri açtım. (I opened the curtains to let in some light.)

Countable:

Yatmadan önce ışıkları kapatmayı unutma. (Don't forget to turn off the lights before you go bed.)
