Türkan Albayrak, a female worker who wasdismissedfrom her job at an Istanbul hospital, leading her toembarkon a 117-day-long labor action in front of herformerplace of employment,returnedto her job Thursday.

Following her longstruggle, whichincludedahunger strike, in protest against her dismissal from Paşabahçe State Hospital, Albayrak will now work at the Sarıyer Community Health Center.

Albayrak was working for asub-contractorcompany at Paşabahçe State Hospital in Istanbul's Beykozdistrict, but was dismissed for becoming aunionmember.

Before that, she worked at Türk Telekom under the same sub-contractor, but was dismissed from there too for on the samegrounds.

She opened acaseagainst the company, but later returned to the job. This time, however, the subcontractor firm assigned her to the Beykoz hospital, which was far from her house.

She became the member of another union there and was later dismissed, leading her to start her most recent job action.
