"In the cartoon film titled "Nisi and Pisi," which will beairedon Turkish televisions, 6-year-old Nisa Gürbüz [Nisi] and Van cat Pisi will play and both characters will promote the city to the whole world. Nisa'swayof speech and actions will beadaptedto Nisi's character,' said projectconsultantİzzet Gülaçar.
The cartoon is part of a wider social responsibility project topromotethe historical and cultural beauties of theeasternTurkishprovinceof Van to the world, Gülaçar said.
He also noted that after the cartoon, afeature filmwould be made with the same title, adding that they aimed at reach world children throughevents, including festivals, concerts and poetry readings.
"Well-knownpeople in society will also be invited to the city for the project and they will join these events. We want topromoteVan to the world with the language of children. The monthly magazine Nisi World will be distributed to European countries as well as Turkey in Turkish and English. The project will continue for 10 years,' Gülaçar said.
