İngilizcede bazı isimler edatlarda beraber kullanılırlar. Aşağıda isim ile "for" edatının kullanım şekillerini örnek cümlelerle sizlere sunuyoruz.

Cure for: tedavi

Admiration for: Beğeni, hayranlık

Desire for: istek

Hope for: umut

Need for: İhtiyaç

There's a growing need for cheap housing in the larger cities. (Büyük şehirlerde ucuz barınma için artan bir ihtiyaç var.)

Reason for: neden

The main reason for taking the course is to improve your language skills. (Bu dersi almaktaki asıl amaç senin dil becerilerini geliştirmen.)

Responsibility for: sorumluluk

Do not forget that you have a responsibility for cleaning your room after your friends leave. (Arkadaşların ayrıldıktan sonra odanı temizleme sorumluluğun olduğunu unutma.)

Respect for: saygı
